Jackets distributed to a school that VSSE rebuilt (雲南常文敏小學)

The VSSE board decided in Sep, 2019 to sponsor 400 winter jackets to poor students in mountainous areas in China to get through the harsh winter. Upon pledging to our members and friends, we received overwhelming responses and we took up the 239 jackets HK Sowers Action had remaining. That is, we sponsored a total of 639 jackets. A great thank-you to the sponsors.

VSSE received request in Jun 2018 from a long time volunteer Manyi to raise money for getting winter jackets for students in China. This was in support of the winter jacket project 送愛暖童心 of HKSA to help the poor students in mountainous areas in China to get through the harsh winter. Continue reading →
